Work to reshape The
Arches now underway
Work has begun to transform Worcester’s Victorian railway
arches into a major new cultural quarter for the city.
Local construction firm Speller Metcalfe
are busy on site, converting an initial
five railway arches located between
Foregate Street Station and The Hive
into studios and workspaces for local
artists and creative businesses.
A foot and cycle path will also be
created to follow the line of the arches,
linking Foregate Street railway station
to The Hive and the River Severn.
It is anticipated the work will be
complete early in the New Year.
