Artwork lifts High Street spirits
The work of local artist Yasmin Agilah Hood is now on
display at an empty retail unit in Pump Street, Worcester.
Yasmin is one of eight artists who were commissioned by
the City Council, Worcester BID and Severn Arts to create
artwork to fill empty retail units in the city centre. We
hope that their work will give inspiration and enjoyment
to local residents and visitors.
Talking about her creation, Yasmin said: “Hope For A

bringing a sense of unity, equality and warmth to those
who pass it.
“It is reminiscent of festivals and bringing back that party
atmosphere and human connection we have all so missed
because of COVID.”
